I need help with the HVX and natural light...

I am going to be shooting a short with no dialogue but a very heavy music track. I am shooting early in the morning so the ground is still wet and has a good glow to it, but I am worried that the lighting may lack in some spots. The sun should be out at this time, according to the forecast and usual weather patterns, but I was wondering if there were any lighting tips anyone could give me for outdoors. I am not restricted on equipment, so please, feel free to give me any sort of advice. And thank you very much, in advance, for anyone who posts in response to my post, it is greatly appreciated.

no light no joy, especially with the HVX, so make sure there is any....no use bringing light to shoot a total of a nature shot. tripod and shutter speed are your friends I guess....unless there is movement, then you simply have to wait for the sun:-)

Thank you very much. If I am shooting with ND on, what shutter speed would you recommend, our is it a trial and error sort of thing dependent on the light conditions?
