I've discovered the most fantastic network

I've discovered the most fantastic network on tv. It's called "Ovation TV". It's basically like art television. Right now I'm watching a two part special on photographers, and when I looked ahead in the preview channel at what programming follows, it's stuff like, "Pelleas et Melisande", described as "Christiane Oelze & Richard Cross perform Debussy's work at the Glyndebourne Opera". And "Visions of Space: Antoni Gaudi", described as, "Art critic Robert Hughes explores the architect's work". It's nothing but stuff ilke this.

This is phenominal. It's sorta like BRAVO fifteen years ago when it was respectable.

Haha. I used to work out of Ovation Offices. Never knew anyone actually watched that stuff.

I'm so happy I've found it. I'm hope to get a good 5 to 10 years at least out of it before it continues to one of it's two inevitable fates. A) Really no one watches it and it's pulled from the air. B) Slowly grows successful and eventually becomes full of the same kind of programming that has taken over networks like BRAVO, The Discovery Channel, etc, and it is whored into being a piece of reality tv show driven pop culture with all artistic integrety drained from it's vains.

I happened to catch a commercial for Dante's Inferno playing on Ovation. I watched the Inferno, but that is about as much as I got from Ovation. I will say they are more ballsy in the material they show, as opposed to the regular networks.

You know, I dig that kind of programming too. PBS airs that kind of stuff but usually only when they are doing a telethon.
