Audio out of synch

Just wondering if anyone has run into this and naybe has a quick answer. I'm using track motion to stabilize a clip and when I render out the audio is out of synch. I use the render cue (can't figure spelling, it's late!) and the only settings I change are in lossless I check the audio box and set frequency to 48000 khz. Also the clip I am converting is M2T and I am outputting to video for windows (720x480 AVI). Hope someone knows what the issue might be, thanks in advance.

If your source audio wasn't 48k that's the most likely culprit. Though it may also be due in part to the m2t format.. mpeg video isn't really frame accurate, so something may be getting hosed somewhere along the way. I'd still say it's more likely due to the audio bitrate issue though.

However, now I think about it, I do seem to recall having read something somewhere previously about audio sync issues with HDV footage (m2t). Don't recall the particulars though, but from what I remember I think it was decided that it was an adobe issue. I've not personally run into the problem, though I use intermediate codecs (cineform, etc)

Thanks tcindie I think it is a format issue. I'm glad to hear that CineForm eliminates the problem. I've used the trial a few times and have been wanting to get it but delayed due to cost. This is going to be the last prodding I needed to finally buy it. Although I've never tried it I'm sure that tracking and the resulting render would be much quicker with CineForm. Are you able to confirm that? I have found a temporary workaround though, I've opened the same M2T in premiere and just matched up the times from the work area in AE. Then I just link the audio from that M2T to the video of the motion tracked video. I have way too many jobs on the go right now to mess around with too many workarounds though, so Cineform...here I come!
