I got a (RED) Camera PA Job - Questions

I might be getting a Camera PA job and I'm signed up, just an interview on monday with the DP about it so he's confident with me. They are shooting on RED. So if anyone has experience with RED cameras see what you can help me explain what I would be doing from the email I received. I think I understand, but want to double check.

Email:
We need someone to get the hard camera drives that we're shooting on (RED is digital) and dump them onto the other two drives (one for editing, one for back up).

I dont own a RED nor have I worked on one but it sounds like you'll simply be doing the backups then formatting the originals.

How that is done within a RED workflow is beyond me.


EDIT: after re-reading your post, I see that I posted nothing useful for ya, LOL, sorry man.

It's cool man. I actually miss read the email a tad over and figured it out. It's quite very simple. Reviewed it with someone who has used a RED and now I'm set.
