Turning a locator pin into 3/8" screw?...

I've got a TLS VCT-14 adapter plate on its way, but was just wondering if there is any way of turning its locator pin into a 3/8" screw?

Or is it possible to replace the locator pin with a screw of the same diameter, then use a 3/8" screw adapter (if one exists) on top of that?

I want to be able to attach the TLS plate to my Zacuto baseplate using both the 1/4" and 3/8" screw threads.

You would ahve to drill the locator pin out and put the new screw in throgh the hole....

The locator pin is apparently removable...

Only problem is, the locator pin is a LOT smaller than a 3/8" screw, so removing the locator pin and replacing it with a screw of the same diameter would mean an adapter of some sort to turn the end of the smaller screw into a 3/8" screw would be required... Unless I just drill a 3/8" hole in place of the locator pin, but I really don't fancy risking that.

Thats what id do, a locator pin is 4mmish in diamter, youd have to drill the hole out to even fit a 1/4in screw through...
