Mark Wahlberg Talks to Animals

He did say he was getting on a flight to NY and to "tune in" to see him slap Samberg's big nose. So, maybe a cameo for SNL is to be expected.

That said, if it is a joke, its far from being funny. Furthermore, I concur with Callaghan that MW isn't that great of an actor.

Donnie has real acting chops. I'm serious as hell.
He stole the show in Band of Brothers,
and I've loved him as an actor ever since.
 
Or be nominated for an Oscar. (in a cast with Dicaprio, Nicholson, Damon, A. Baldwin where he was the film's only Oscar nod for acting).
 
I love MW. That same character he plays in every movie he is in is great. He could do 50 more and I'd watch them all. :D
 
No problem, I can handle the gigging. Sure, I took it for real on Kimmel. After all, it wasn't a movie; it was sold as an interview with the actor, not a character he was playing. Even so, his appearance on SNL just wasn't funny.

Either way, I got a kick out of it. Still, I looked at it as a running gag from the start. I remember the days when everyone thought that Matt Damon was really pissed when Kimmel did the "Sorry, Matt. We're out of time" bit. Now that was hilarious!
