Can you use a Steadicam Merlin with a DVX100 + M2 35mm adapter?

I'm thinking about getting a merlin steadicam, but I'm hoping to get something I can use with my DVX100 when I have the M2 adapter + a lens connected.

Has anyone rigged the Merlin to kind of work with this setup? I was wondering if maybe I could just add a little extra of my own weights to it and see if I can get decent results.
 
So are there any suggested steadicams for people with this setup without spending an arm and a leg? I'm just wondering how I can get smoother shots on that setup.
 
without spending an arm or a leg, you could go for the glidecam4000 pro with smoother shooter. works for me, and im flying 13lbs. But im stuck on using 24mm lens and blocking my shots to keep the focus static.
 
Besides the Merlin being prettier and maybe a little easier to adjust weights for, would you guys say there is much of a noticeable difference (if any) between shots with the glide pro and the merlin? I know the glide pro is a lot cheaper.
