The adaptor market is a small niche market. Smaller than leopard print umbrellas. They got pro-sumer models for 1-2000 which makes me wonder how these guys eat. 5 grand for a full on pro model (if you plan to use it for work) isn't so bad considering next to the camera it's the heart of your imaging system. For 5G you expect something you can use in front of a client without worry of it failng. That's what the extra 2-4G is for. There's not a single sub 2g adaptor out there that I feel absolutely confident that it's chances of failure are a longshot. Every one of the main low cost adaptor company's sub 2g adaptors have failed on me - some in circumstances I hope not to re-live. I remember doing major surgery on when just to get a spec of dust on set while the client was watching. For that failure - I gave them a day free. I've had connections fail, filibustered with lighting while a PA runs to radio shack to get me soldering kit. When something fails at the wrong time, the cost is alot more thatn the extra 2-4G.

If MTube can deliver a virtual failsafe adaptor that gets excellent images for 5G and you plan to use it for work, it's plenty worth it.

Think of it as car you need to drive to commute to your very important job everyday. You miss work, you don't get paid - lives are lost, mouthes go hungry. Do you get a Chevy or spend a few G more and get a Honda?

Go to movietube.com and look under productions.
Then download "You don't have to shout" from Robocop Kraus.

Thanks man,

Wasn't too impressed though. Maybe I need to see some more footage, because from what I saw the focused looked a bit soft, and the sky looked really blah, IMHO. Maybe thats do to having to shoot at f4 and wider.
