Can anyone tell me which is a better piece of glass?: The 72mm HD Cinevate achromat or the 72mm HD Redrock Achromat.

This would be used in a DIY vibrating 35 adapter.

Thanks,
Mike

You should really check out Cinevate stuff.

They're a remarkable little company.

Their company president Dennis Wood is on their forums 24/7 answering questions and proudly announcing their newest products. I've have a great experience with them

anyways, they make a great rail mount system as well with an adjustable riser baseplate called the "proteus system"

Hmmm... I have both. I could get you a few shots from them if you want? What would help you decide? I nice macro shot?

Thanks for the response.

Jstunzi: I'd be using this glass primarily in a DIY vibrating adapter but also for macro photography. The Cinevate retails for $250 and the Redrock retails for $400. That would lead me to believe the Redrock is better, but that might not be the case...

I mean these lenses are really for hypermacro shots. They obviously have their specific uses. What type of adapter are you building? Spinner?

Hey Dennis. I saw that macro shot in doing my research on the forum. Looks great. I decided to go for the Cinevate.
