Anyone try the HPX170 with the RR M2?

The HPX170 does not center up on the base plate so it is off center on the build. I cannot get it to line up.

I tried pushing the riser base over all the way until it is resting against a rail and it still is off.

Any ideas?

Can the new MicroX riser accommodate just 2 screws if I push the camera base plate mount over?

Ok nevermind, I took off the mount and moved it aside and then just used two screws...I did not want to use two but it is the only way I can think of making it work.

I could buy shorter rails too.

Post your setup when your done, no one's posted a 170 adapter rig yet. I know what it'll look like but what the hell make the rig photos section grow!

atlfilmguy - we have already setup the HPX170 successfully with the microX/M2 combo.

Here are a few tips:

1. the HPX 170's lens bulges out, so you'll need a 72mm uv filter to make sure it doesn't make contact with the achromat

2. The HPX170 has a new "high" gamma mode which looks to be promising for maximizing latitude in your shots. I encourage you to check it out. Definitely avoid cinema gamma and add that s curve in post

3. zoom/focus roughly 92/83

4. shims are 3/16" (1/8 + 1/16")
