About the post: I lost track of what I did.^^ Just try out the channel mixer, put it on monochrome and vary the blend modes.
 
Taken in Creole, Louisiana at Air Logistics parking lot after Hurricane Ike. The watch dogs! I got it from someone who used a point and shoot.

Was taking pictures at my nephew's soccer game this weekend, during half time started playing with the macro switch on my Sigma 70-300. I aimed at a spot about 3 feet away from where I was sitting in a raised lawn chair.

Your in my world now...70-300 macro shots, it's a great lens:) I just love the Zuiko digital 70-300 and four thirds system for this kind of work. Nice experiment man!
 
Yea, macro work is fun, but a lot trickier to pull off well :) I got one of a bee in the center of a sunflower, but I didn't focus properly so the bee is blurry.

Here's a non-macro shot I grabbed yesterday on my way into work:

 
Thanks ... the light rays is my favorite part. I love when the sky is like that where you can see the rays.

I was driving to work, fortunately on the frontage road and not yet on the highway. When I came around the corner and saw that shot I immediately stopped, there in the road, put on my hazards, rolled down the window and started shooting. A couple cars came by and were looking at me strangely until they passed me and saw the camera, then they smiled, waved and drove on :)

Love that shot - absolutely fantastic. As soon as my eyes heal, I gotta practice using that 50mm I bought a few weeks back.

Thanks, glad you guys like it ... I wish everyone could have seen it in person as the picture doesn't do it justice. It was absolutely gorgeous.

Seriously, that's a cool shot ... definitely important to keep that lens attached to your person at all times for just such an occasion.


I was playing around with my sunrise photo I posted earlier ... made a slightly lighter version that I thought came out nicely

That second version works well Larry, it's nice to see some definition in the foreground.
