I love this time of year.

My ten year mark as a Floridian has come and gone. Though my blood has thinned way out, I do miss Fall like crazy. It is one of the couple a' three things I hate that Florida doesn't have (basements...especially basement bars...are also on that short list).

Can't say I miss snow, but dammit do I miss Fall.

I love this weather too. I'm always really hot and wear a lot of sports clothes like nylon basketball shorts and shirts to help air out in the summer but finally I can wear something else without fear of having a wet line down my back.

In the mountains, sure. Not very often in the low country, though.

If there's no snow, I wouldn't classify it even as a winter.

So what's an average winter temperature there?

I've always wanted to visted the Carolina's, they look beautiful and there's lots of history there. Maybe some day.

Can't say I miss snow, but dammit do I miss Fall.

I actually love it when it snows. Which is usually for only a couple of weeks in December/January. When you have 6+ months of rain, snow is a very nice break, it brightens everything up and I find it tends to put people in better moods instead of the constant bleak rain that depresses everyone.

The temp sucks; Every other day is either 35 or 55 .....................

I have to convert that to celsuis.

35F is 2C and 55F is 13C.

And that only last for 2 months? That's nothing.

I don't think I could tolerate a year of sun. 4-5 months is good for me.

In Seattle, we have the rainy crap season that lasts from September thru late June then we have July and August that typically contain several seasons in one day. We'll have rain, sunshine, snow, sunshine, freaking cold, sunshine windstorm sunshine etc.
On the rare occasion we have more then 24 hours of sunshine in a row channel 4 is in emergency mode about the pending drought ..... I freakin' hate it here....

The heat is gone? Wha? you must be kidding. Okay, I'm one to talk, I think it's hot in Santa Monica when it's 75 F outside, however, having said that, we went out to a mall out in west L.A. and the temp rose from 75 F to 95 F. I swear to you I will never live inland again. I love the fog, embrace the marine layer, life is good if the temp is only around 70s.
