Best export settings for broadcast???

What are typically the best EXPORT settings for broadcast television/digi beta transfer from Final Cut Pro. This is regarding the visual and audio.

I typically am working with 720p 24fps footage. Downsized into a SD comp once the cut is finished.

Prores or uncompressed at 24p- depending on how you plan to run out to tape i.e. Blackmagic or AJA card or via firewire etc.

Ask whoever is doing the output to digibeta...

Their capture card will most likely do a better downconvert than nesting your sequence into an SD one. So you may want to bring them a ProRes/Uncompressed self-contained movie in your native resolution (720). It all depends on the system that will be used. So again, ask them.

And you also have to make sure that you video levels are right...100IRE for the whites, 7.5 IRE for the blacks. WHich means proper color correction for broadcast.

Audio has to fall within a certain range (typically peaking at -12db).
