rate my lighting in this scene please!

a few days ago i shot a little scene in a restaurant.
here a some grabs straight from camera.

it's a scene in a restaurant/bar with 2 people who finally fall in love.

what do you think about the lighting?
i am asking myself if it is already a bit too much /overlit?

what do you think?

I like the two OTS shots although I'm confused as to the motivation of the key. Looks like its coming out of the wall in the 3rd shot. In my head I imagine more of an overhead soft light like you normally find in a restaurant. I'd be hanging a large china ball between them just above the frame line.

I'm not liking the background in the master at all. The light behind her wine glass is distracting as are the slashes of light. They all could be knocked down a few stops for me. Her face is also lacking any light. Looks really odd having seen the OTS where her face is lit. Check out Barry Cheong's work in this thread here - http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/showthread.php?t=120016

Some nice restaurant lighting with a similiar dark moody feel.

I really like the mood in the second shot though. Definitely feels like a restaurant. The other two dont convey that feeling to me.
 
Jeff had some very good thoughts. I would add to it asking you to add some background fill light. The absolute abyss darkness makes an uneasy feeling. Even if you rose the background shadows to a zone 2-3 it would still appear dark, but at least give us more visual info about the room they are in.

The second and third pic look ok, but the first one is leaving her face in shadows. Maybe bouncing some light from behind the male's left side.
