Are You a Geek? No, really, do you seriously call yourself a geek?

Nope. I don't consider myself smart enough to be a true geek. Not compared to the few I know personally. I do feel like one sometimes though. I have my moments.

I remember selling PayTV circuit boards in a bar once that I designed and built.
I did get accused of being a smarty-pants by the bar tender and even a genius by one guy, lol.

But no. Fraid not.

Hey Mark. I talked to Joe yesterday on the phone. He called after I had a 12pack, went to bed and was listening to my Bill Cosby collection. So I got back up and discussed the shot. lol...Easy shot but let's just say, articulate, I was not, haha. Cool though. Just one of those funny moments.

Not a geek but my wife calls me a nerd and I admit to it. The biggest reason is whenever we watch t.v., I don't simply watch. I analyze everything from lighting to editing to how depth of field is used and everything in between. I got her doing the same thing and she hates me for it. Okay, hate's a bit strong but she is definitely annoyed.
 
Considering the original term "Geek" was the guy who would bite the heads off of chickens at the Circus side shows, no... definitely not a geek.
 
I'm a geek, not a nerd. My definition of geek is typing out html code by hand, yep, did that for the hotel's website, I'm a geek.
