running long cord at wedding.

I need to run about 75 feet of XLR cable tomorow from my mic/stand to my camera in the back. Whats the best way to do this without tripping people.

Well, are you sure there's not a better way of doing this? Maybe renting a lav or a mixer for the day? Running 75ft of XLR cable will upset very many people. You can tape it down, but I'm sure no one will like that either - it is the best way however to not trip anyone.

Run it along the inside perimeter of the building and gaff tape every inch of it into the corner between the wall and floor. But like Kegan said that would be the last thing I'd be doing at a wedding. Your goal should be to stay the hell out of the way and go as unnoticed as possible. 75ft of XLR is kinda going against that... This isnt a narrative shoot.

eta - whatever you do, dont run it down the aisle. I'd be a little pissy about having xlr in the pictures of me walking down the aisle, let alone the trip hazard for those walking in and out of the pews. Considering your lack of wireless I'll take a wild guess and assume you have no insurance either. Trying to not get sued should be something to keep in mind...

Stick a recorder with a lav in the Priest and Groom's pockets, or run your mic (still a bad idea) into a recorder behind the Priest. Running that much cable down a church isn't going to go over well.

Indeed. There's lots that can go wrong here. I agree and have used a Lav unit. It's the safest way in my opinion.
