Any one want to teach from home?

Last week our little school started a new program which gives any one, from any where, the ability to teach English to our students here in Nong Khai, Thailand. Just by using a free Skype account.

Click the image to see how it works!

1 - Teacher's webcam for better interactivity with the students.
2 - Speakers so the students can hear the teacher.
3 - Skype Chat for the teacher to use as a whiteboard.
4 - Classroom webcam for the teacher to see the students.

Future classes might involve video production, web design, Photoshop, etc. But for now, just English. Please think about it and let me know if you're interested in volunteering from home or if you have any suggestions.

Thanks.

Any time you want to be a guest speaker just let me know.

I'm sure our students would have a lot of questions for you.

Hi PK, I am definitely interested in this, but also really busy these days. What kind of time commitment would I need to make? I want to make sure that I can volunteer enough time.

That's great, Will. Thanks a lot!

I understand it's difficult to find time to do stuff like this when someone has a full time job, a family, and is making movies too! That's why there is no commitment. You can try it once to see if you like it or you can become a regular. It can be as little as one hour a month or three hours a week. We're just happy you took the time to consider it.

The only thing that might be an issue is the 12 hour time difference between the US and Thailand. Since our classes are held in the evening here that means having to wake up early in the US. If you're on the East coast it's not too bad. And if you're in Australia then it's really easy.

Classes are at 7am-8am EST in the US (Mon-Wed-Fri). Lucky west coasters! lol

Thanks again, Will. Let me know if you have any more questions.

English I don't know how well I'd do. But anything else - I'd be more than willing. I need to do some service related stuff anyways for my scholarship and as much as I love picking up trash...
