Anybody use the Quick release baseplate from India?

Anybody buy, use or seen one of these in person? For $50, I'm thinking about buying one but would be interested to know what it's like.

I think I answered my own question by finding the Manfrotto 357 which seems to be what this Indian thing is a knock-off of. And the Manfrotto's actually cheaper from B&H.

I guess I'd still like QR and sliding baseplate experiences or suggestions, but I'll probably just order something from B&H like that manfrotto or a Giotto which is even cheaper.
