Hi All,

Hopefully this is in the right spot. Mods, please feel free to move this to an appropriate forum if it isn't so.

I live in Europe and I need to order a spare part for my Sony DCR VX1000: Item - ( Tripod Plate ), 396394005, $19.87 ea.

It's the tripod mounting bracket on the bottom of the camera. The one I have is totally stripped.

I have this info from the US site, but they won't ship to Germany (where I live). The German Sony website is atrocious - no info there. And the UK's site refers me to a dealer (NEDIS UK) that has no spare parts for this camera.

Where can I order this part online that ships to Europe? Any info would surely be appreciated. Thanks!

Shouldn´t this be a tripot spare part?
Or do you mean the screw thread where the camera plate screws in?
Havn´t seen a VX1000 in years, but cool to hear the´re still doing it;o)

It's the recepticle on the bottom of the camera. I've attached a photo of it.

I bought it used, and the guy didn't disclose this slight decrepancy.
