any experience with those ebay chinese fresnels like ARRI?

just want to know if anybody here have bought those chinese fresnels that sells on ebay, they're identical to ARRIs, at least aesthetically speaking.
 
He might be referring to Steven.Studio which I believe is different from Blue Line/Image West.
I can vouch for the StevenStudio 4 bank Fluorescent fixture. It is the exact same as the 2 bank FloLights that I have and comparatively I paid a whole lot less for it. I have no knowledge of their tungsten fresnels though. IF the quality of their fresnels is the same as the quality of their fluorescent fixtures, then they would be a bargain.

Yes, I'm referring to Steven.Studio from ebay. I've reading a lot of info on the Blue line from ImageWest and I think they're the same. I'm glad to hear a nice review for one of his product, this gives me some confidence to buy.

Yeah, I'm wondering if Image West was somebody's attempt to become a US dealership that failed. There are also Cinelight fixtures on ebay from Romania that look to be the same. Wouldn't be surprised if they are from the same factory. Somehow, I am more inclined to buy direct from China than from Romania.

They seems like the ARRI clones Cine Light Equipment manufactures. If so, I own 3 650w 2 1kw and 2 2kw, apart from a 1200w HMI fresnels and an exact 4bank kino flo clone. I got them from Sergiu Pavel at Cineart in romania at very good prices. www.videogrip.net.

I've used them extensively for the last months and worked perfectly. Construction is way better of what you would expect from these prices.

Do you also bought the lamp from them?
 
Yep. They use standard GY9 osram bulbs. In fact they have quite a decent 3x650 kit under 1000eur, 3 heads, lamps, barndoors, tripods and circular reflector in semihard case. The same from ARRI would be more than the double.

Don't get me wrong. These are not ARRI. I'm a working gaffer and for big shows everything is rented, but these are a nice value for the money to have in your private kit. And the kino flo clone is awesome.

They used to be shown when you register, but they can provide you with a price list on requests. Prices seems constantly adjusted to the euro-dollar change and most products are sold on a 'deposit' base, you oay a fraction on it to fullfill the import, and the rest on the arrival.

Anyway contact them directly and let them know.
