Well, I've been watching Das Boot. The German version I have is around 5 hrs long, but maybe it's closer to 4 &1/2, I haven't timed it. The 'only' movie that long that I've ever been able to stay interested in throughout.

I never get tired of Jaws 1 also.
 
Honestly, any movie that I buy I buy for that reason...so everything on my shelf I bought because I can watch it many times over without it being boring :)

I always watch those when I see them on TV. Not necessarily my favorite films but they don't grow old.
 
I concur on Fight Club and Pulp Fiction. Also Saving Private Ryan and most Spielberg movies. Forrest Gump, any of the Back to the Future movies... actually pretty much anything Robert Zemeckis directed I would stop channel surfing for. I Wanna Hold Your Hand I have never seen, and Romancing the Stone I've only partially seen on television, but I've truly enjoyed, in one way or another, every one of his films.

And of course, the obligatory Star Wars movies, and most of the Star Trek ones.
 
A little bit off topic, but I've always been struck how "timeless" E.T. is. I have not seen it in a while, but I know YEARS after it was made, I would see it and think, man, the clothes still seem pretty current, the bike still seems like something you would see on the street today, the relationship of the mother to her kids still relevant and realistic, they still make that candy, the dialog still sounds like you would expect to hear now...

I love that about that movie. It never seems old to me or dated. Even now.

As for ET I just watch the part where they get away, and end up flying over the cop cars. I love the bicycle scene and the buildup to that friggin' awesome moment!!!! Cue the music john williams! As for the dialog, it's been awhile since I've heard "Penis-breath"...lol. Other then that you are right!

Yeah, I don't know what it is about that girl. I spent maybe 20 years hanging with a girl who looks like that and, yeah, I can't watch that movie and not think of her. They are both hot as hell, that's all I can say. :thumbup:

And oh yeah, Yes, I like Bruce Willis movies. Yep, I'm an outcast. :Drogar-Smoke(DBG)::beer:

jeeze... I've got over 700 DVDs - there's way too many, and most of them I'd rate high (which, is why I bought them in the first place).
