1970's news broadcast look

Hello,
For the film I am shooting right now there is a cut away to a 1970's news broadcast. I shot it on the DVX with the letus 35 adapter, but I need to make it look old, like this:

What can I do in FCP to give it this look?

can't wait to read your responses.

Well... do you have a shot of actors in polyester suits??? But what 'effect' are you looking for. The clip was heavily processed/compressed by the usual Youtubeness... but if the clip was taken from a VHS tape, the 'resolution' of VHS tape was about 1/2 of what the original standard video of 480x720 was (well the 70's were before digital so that really isn't 'true true true'...)

There also seems to be some ringing on the edges of things, so I'd probably go for decreasing the contrast since ancient video was pretty much lit for 'flat', but using an edge sharpening filter and adjust to get a little 'ring' (white edge) on the edges...

you might have better luck if you can get access to after effects. thats what i would do anyway. i'd say desaturate and boost the contrast a little, then add a grain and a warming filter or maybe just some yellowish hue. but then again, i think a lot of the look comes from the shitty framing and bad sound, notice the anchor is completely centered in the first shot.

Convert any 16:9 to 4:3 framing. Add a Chroma blur and turn down the saturation (Nattress). Reduce resolution. Reduce contrast. Second to the add yellow. Maybe you could even film a poor CRT monitor showing your footage.
