P Paunch Well-known member Aug 8, 2008 #1 so whats the deal with this? If i use an additive dissolve it takes the levels well beyond the 100IRE limit, whats the point of having this transition if i can't use it in a project that needs to be broadcast legal?

P Paunch Well-known member Aug 9, 2008 #3 could you please clarify as to why?? over 100IRE is not a good thing, so......
P Paunch Well-known member Aug 22, 2008 #4 Don't worry about it he says, and yet there is no explanation as to why???????
MasterP Well-known member Aug 22, 2008 #5 Apply a "broadcast safe" filter before you export the squence - that'll keep everything kosher
P Paunch Well-known member Aug 23, 2008 #6 im just going to ditch that effect, it looks trashy anyway. after I manually set my levels in between 0 and 100 IRE should i apply a broadcast filter to the entire project or is that not necessary?? does it make a difference at all if the blacks go below 0 IRE? is that what crushed blacks are???
