This morning around 6 am I was awoken by my 13 month old climbing on my head. Not uncommon :P When I finally opened my eyes and looked up at her she bent down and gave me a kiss, well a kiss as far as a 13 month old is concerned. Anyway just an ahhhhhhhhh moment I thought Id share.

Those are the precious moments, enjoy them while they last. In another 13-14 years, it will be the Police waking you up at 3 AM asking if you know where your Daughter is. Before you answer "She's in her bed...", look in the backseat of their car ;)

I don't know if that's good advice or a complete buzz kill.

A little from column A, a little from column B. That's the way kids can be unfortunately. Just so sweet and endearing at first, Spawns of Satan as they hit puberty. You must not have any kids yet?

That's cool, man.

Kids are great.

My niece, 3 years old, did the cutest thing this weekend. Her father, my brother, was sick with a stomach virus and stayed in the hospital for 4 days. I picked him up on Friday and took him home to his house. My niece wanted to play on the swing but her father was tired so I went out and pushed her. While I was pushing her she said the following in the most innocent voice:

Niece: Uncle, did you bring daddy home?
Me: Yes, I did.
Niece: Thank You uncle.

Brought a huge smile to my face.

Awwww, my daughter is 21 and it still makes me smile when she surprises me with a hug or a kiss, just for being there :)

My son learned how to climb out of his crib. By the way, since we are sharing, my son got the baby powder and decided to make mounts of it all over the room. He also showered his crib with powder. When we finally got rid of the crib and pulled it apart, we found white baby powder still in the cracks. Hilarious.

Should I mention the time he stopped up the toilet with baby books and toy cars?

That is what makes life worthwhile. :)

What kills me is even when you're doing something wrong they make it cute! We have a lock on our fridge that was finally placed there after an incident similar to Charli's powder story (except involving mustard). The kids know that they aren't supposed to go anywhere near the fridge, and even if they tried, it's locked, right. The other night my daughter comes walking into the living room with an apple which are kept, that's right, in the fridge. As I'm stammering and stuttering around trying to yell at her she calmly looks at me and says "Don't worry, Daddy. I locked it back."

What can you do? :)

...I suggest taking your daughter to the bank with you next time...can you say HPX500 & all the goodies? :)

I got the 3AM wake up call three years ago. My daughter was 15, riding in a car with gang-bangers and weapons. I was a police detective at the time and I could not have been more angry and depressed. Of course, she got pregnant, the father left town, and I hit the lowest of lows in my life....

Last month my 14 month old granddaughter, Jada, gave me the same kiss that Noel described.

I could not be any happier.

Holy crap! That is almost identical, except it was like 6 years ago, and she didn't get pregnant until she was 17! I do know exactly where you are coming from though, and I bet we could share some stories

Last night my 8 year old daughter was complaining..... Mom is diving me crazy she is driving me nuts. First she complains that I dont pick up my room and then she complains that I don't do it right after I pick up.. To this I say "join the club" just then my 6 year old daughter chimes in "can I join the club too dad"
Kids..... you gotta love 'em

Awesome. My kiddos are almost 7 months old, so they're at the perfect stage -- exceedingly cute, but immobile and, therefore, unable to destroy anything beyond their own diapers. :)
