Yes, it is an absolute piece of crap. I used one on the first feature I recorded, and it caused all sorts of nastiness that I would not care to ever repeat. LOTS of ADR.

My basic attitude toward Azden products is RUN RUN RUN as far away from them as you can, lest some of their stink rub off on you.

LOL very funny stuff

I do respect your opinions so thanks for the heads up,,,, (sniff, sniff..... ohhh nnnno ,,, moma help!!!)

Azden products occupy an extremely low tier in the wide range of pro audio products on the market. Although they make a handful of serviceable products, their mics and mixers tend to be only slightly better than nothing. I daresay that some of their wireless products are actually worse than nothing.

However low you're budget, you don't need that kind of headache: life's too short to spend your days wrestling with a cheap mixer. If you buy sub-par equipment just to get yourself started you'll wind up buying a new mixer soon enough, and that startup money will have been wasted.

Another great indicator of how bad Azden is:

Whenever I call it like I see (um, er, HEAR it) it on the ME66, several people will jump in and talk about how great it is (not sure if they've had their hearing checked lately ;-) - notice that no one has jumped in to defend Azden.

:-)

I've said it many times and will repeat it - if you're working with a low budget, look at used equipment. I've picked up many great bargains when buying used (my latest was 2 Countryman B6's for $100 each).
