Another Model Shoot

Let me know what you think.

Thanks,

Went a little nuts on the processing with this last one. I think it looks kinda cool but not sure I'm gonna keep it like this.
Update: just posted another version next to it. I'm happier with it. It's more realistic and I like the silhouette feel.

It's a little too dark, at least on my monitor. You are losing way too much muscle detail, which is a real shame considering how much he must work out to get it in the first place.

Yeah, I just looked at it on my Mac and I agree. I'm gonna recalabrate my monitor and see if I can make them any better. Should have done that in the first place.

The first one isn't too bad, but the other two just lose too much. Maybe the next time, you could try bouncing just a little light off a brown reflector to bring out his skin tone?

i´m missing some light on the eyes. kinda cool though. 1st one could be a poster.

The biggest problem with the second was that he stepped forward and the light I had boomed over him started creating a huge shadow. I didn't notice at the time but I should have had him move back about a foot and it would have ruled. I'm trying to work around it though. I just reconfigured my monitor on my XP machine and it's looking much better already.

On the last I was going for edgy. It looked pretty cool just as it was out of camera but I wasn't really happy with the processed image even when I posted it.

Thanks for the complements though. I'm really trying to push for perfection. My powerpack and limited space in the room where we were shooting was driving me nuts. I couldn't move the side lights back any further and they were blowing out. And I couldn't get the front light any closer w/out it being in frame. Oh to have some monolights. One day.

Just posted an update. I pushed the first two about another 1/2 stop and l like them much better. The 3rd was so over processed the first time that I decided to do a side by side.

Here are a few more of Edward.

In the last few mins before I left, I was able to shoot Zan too. Unfortunately due to time I was not able to change the hard lighting setup from Edward's shoot so the front exposure is a little too dark for her. I hope to shoot her again as she was quite gorgeous. Over all I wasn't super unhappy with how they turned out. Especially the last one.

I still think bouncing a little light off of a brown reflector from up high would really do the trick on the guy in the third pic.

You just need a fill from for those eye's and nose shadows. Nothing much, a stop or so under to keep a little detail.
