speed dit, or just go with new mac and FCP

ive been leaning towards SpeedEdit and a new PC as my final editing investment. A friend of mine suggested I look into Mac/FCP one last time before I do, stating FCP is an industry standard.

advice please...I know very little about the operation of either program.

Its a rather nice editor. I even have it running in bootcamp on my macbookpro.
add a multi-drive sata set outboard with the expresscard slot and your doing well.

I think your eyes are getting bad or you need to clean your glasses. This thread is for Newtek's Speed Edit and the links go to Speed Edit Links.


There is no Speed Edit forum. I think the post is OK.

I enjoy reading about SpeedEdit on this forum and ther are other. The NewTekToaster and the Toaster Flyer were there in the beginning.long before Adobe, FCP, Edius and a lot of others.There is not a lot of traffic on this Edius Forum and I like to see others that use SpeedEdit. and like GV Edius its P2 friendly.

i wanted that too..but got a nice 4gb 2 tb pc with edius broadcast for much less than a mac w/fc, and i dont need a pcmci laptop,or a $1900 adapter to download my p2 cards to mac, because i can get it done with my pc with a pcmci card reader installed . or ask mac to make a pcmci card reader for it.
go for pc..
