PK's Karaoke World Record Attempt (40+ hrs of singing badly)

Ya'll dont know how weird it is for me to see KitKat's and Ginafish's usernames being posted over here. Its like some sort of eclipse. :laugh:

Jason, even if you HAD said something untoward, KitKat sees only good things in everything. Too long to explain, but someone used the word "crackhouse" when I was shooting the interview with PK's mom and dad, and she thought the term referred to structural damage. She's a sweetheart. :)

I have to say that apart from being a charity event it was one of the more entertaining things I have done. The live chat and PKs MAD SKILLZ came together for a really fun event.

Congrats to PK and everyone that gave so much.
 
The chatroom for the karaoke event was just Ustream's built-in chat. If you're using Ustream for webcasts then it works fine, but limited (no smilies, etc.). If you just want a stand-alone chatroom I'd go for something different. There's some free chatroom scripts available on the web but I've never used them before so I can't recommend any.

We used part of the karaoke donations last week for two different projects. The first was a motorcycle helmet donation, which was done at a local hospital.



60 Helmets Cost: $260

And then we did some upgrades to our Learning Center here in Nong Khai, Thailand. We bought some new tables and chairs for our main classroom and used the old ones to make a kids classroom outside on the porch.



Total Cost: $310

Thank you to everyone at DVXuser who supports Isara. We've only just begun using the karaoke funds so stay tuned for more smiling faces.
