Nikon fit wide angle - 20mm or 24mm?

Hey,

With my Lex on order I've been looking at lenses. I picked up a 105mm f2.8 Nikon from ebay (the older one which is apparently meant to be good) and a Tokina 70-200mm for cheap.

Got a 50mm f1.4 coming and reckon I'll order a wide angle. Been looking at inexpensive ones and see Sigma do a f1.8 20mm and 24mm which are relatively cheap.

Anyone have experiences with these Sigma's and can help me pick between them?

Cheers

Go for the Nikon 17-35 2.8. Its a fantastic lens and you can get great second hand ones on ebay.

Far better than Sigma.

I have a Nikkor 24mm f2.8. Nice images, some pin cushioning, very little aberration. A 20mm might be more flexible as you can always zoom in and 'crop' the image to a longer focal length. Have not heard the best reports on Sigma lenses.

Aye I was thinking that, using the 20mm with the Lex I can always zoom in on the ground glass and get what would effectively be 24mm.

I'd love to get the 17-35 but nothing on ebay for us Brits and it's really expensive. At the mo with the outlay of the Lex itself and all the support stuff, money is tight!
