No one here is too far from making a Hollywood film

Great! Now all I need is 20 million dollars and I can make a film just like Crank 2!

A lot of that money is actually for bullcrap. You could probably make Crank for a few hundred thousand with a little planning and B or unknown actors.

Yeah Batutta,

"That's after gross net deduction profit percentage deferment ten percent of the nut. Cash, every movie cost $2,184. "

they were smart enough to use xha1's and not hvx200's :-D

i think their footage will turn out really nicely

at the end of the day, it's only Crank 2. Show me low budget filmmakers producing stuff similar to good directors and I'll be impressed.

No I'm only making a measly 6 digits working on films that don't make me want to vomit profusely. Have you reserved your tickets for Disaster Movie yet? I'm sure it will be profitable also!

It takes a lot of money to make a movie like a good director? I dont understand your point.

Takes less money than you think. Many effects can be duplicated from your home computer. With time an planning $500,000 can get you the same as many million dollar films if you know what you're doing. Think about it, if you have a camera and a good adapter, you can already get your film look. Effects can be done in AE including complex greenscreens. Unless you're doing a ton of 3D and CGI work you're good. Don't forget you can work with miniatures and make them look really good now now with all the green screening. (They did this in League of Extraordinary Gentlemen).

Well, that theory would work if you were an effects artist. Have you seen most peoples simple composites in AE of gunfights and explosions? If you call that Hollywood quality I would walk away and laugh.

A 35mm adapter doesn't equal best film ever. Hollywood productions have hundreds of extras. Many locations, props, stunts, effects, actors, food, people, crew and more...that a 500,000 dollar film could never even hope to touch.

Fact of the matter is you can never get a 40,000,000 look for 500,000 dollars. Best of luck if you think that. Take a look at the credits on Hollywood films. Think you can pay that many people with 500,000?

Er...that's a really unfortunate shot.

On another note, I'm not sure that guy is quite ripped enough to handle a fig rig. Sheesh.

You guys are PERVS! I never even noticed her ass before you pointed it out.

Uhhhg. Really guys. Grow up.
