Which Letus for HF100 AND HVX200?

Hi there,
I recently bought a Canon HF100 for home/hobby use.

Im a production sound mixer, and some of my clients own small format cameras
such as HVX200's, I figure I might be able to fill a niche being able to offer
a 35mm adapter to those people.

I was just about to purchase (literally) a Letus Extreme 82mm threads,
and use a combination of 2 step down rings to get to 37mm for home use/hf100.

Then I noticed Letus sells an "Extreme" optimized for the HVX200's.

I really cant find any detailed info about it. Does the HVX200 version make it a pain to use with other small format cams? EX1, sony HDV's?
Or the consumer camera I have?

Does the HVX version make that much of a difference when using with a HVX?

Anything else I need to look out for?

I would greatly appreciate any advice.

Thanks so much

I'd definitely get the upgrade, all of the heavies on here have it and swear by it. THe only thing to watch out for with the HF100 is the damn thing is tiny. It can make mounting it and the extreme (and mini I would think) a challenge. Not only that but the mount hole is way up front. So I have a bogen qr adapter plate on top of a beachtek mounted on the Cavision rails. That seems to work for my Extreme or Brevis. Other than that you could easily use the Extreme with the HF100, I love that little camera.

Thanks cine, after using my entire day off to do some research on the whole project I just pulled the trigger and bought the Letus Extreme, optimized for the hvx200.

Now I just have to figure out all the accessories :D

this thread is exactly what i am looking for and just wanted an update to see how things worked out for you on the dof adapter for both cameras. my company has an hvx that i can use any time for personal shoots, but i have an hf100 that i would also like to be able to use with a dof. so i was looking for an adapter that would work on the hf100 and the hvx...
so, how did it all turn out? what other accessories do I need to be prepared to buy?
