After weeks of dealing with a logo company that did NOT suit my needs, I discovered that the new photographer I'm going to add my to my music video production company's crew also does graphic design.. and ROCKS at it. he made me this logo within a few days and I couldnt be happier.

Thoughts?!?!!

It's cool. I dig this grungy collage style.

One problem, to me, is that your name "get famous" has very low legibility/readability. Part of this is a function of the typeface design, which is grungy against an already grungy background but even moreso I think it's in the similarity of all of the blacks and greys.

Maybe instead of black try "get famous" in color? Or possibly put it on another banner background like "productions" which has nice contrast, and reads perfectly. Or change the font.

Okay Debbie Downer.

heh, just kidding. very valid point. i'm surprised no one else i've showed it to has mentioned that... i'm not convinced its hard to read tho. I read it just fine, even from a distance. but i'll ask around and get more opinions on that. thanks very much for your input!

Cool logo, but I agree. The name doesn't pop like it should. Change the color of the black background or the color of the black font.

Good luck!

I hope you accept an honest opinion. This is what we're here for, to help each other out, and not merely pat in the backs :)

1st, the logo at first glance looks ok, but it smells lack of ambition: is you company only doing sound and live event coverage? The logo seems limiting for, say, fiction production. Also, the cameras displayed are XL's, considered low end, prosumer gear. This might not matter to the average person looking at the logo, but any professional will look at it and see a company speciaized in DV production.

Your logo should be edgy, cool, but at the same time, abstract enough to alow it to be used in different productions of different budgets and themes.

This is just my personal opinion, though. Just trying to help...

(I also agree on the lettering being "lost" in the middle of the logo.)

PS- Love the name of the company!

Nice Logo.

Wings blue gradient, Get Famous red... you already have stars in "get famous" and red or yellow is the number one font color for business, quickly followed by blue... since yellow doesn't fit your theme as much, that's just the way the math worked out.

I've got to agree with SPZ in that you might want to rethink using the XLs in the logo.
Even if you don't feel it is limiting now, you'll probably be regretting including them within a year or so.

I think the logo is cool, but it's the name "Get Famous" I have a problem with, maybe you should name it "Scratchpatfilms/productions" just my opinion though, the name sounds a little cheesy.

But I love the Logo, really pops out. I would just take out the cameras. I could almost see that logo on a Pair of Jeans or hooded sweater.. lol real nice.

I especially like the hands in the air, you definitely gotta keep that.

If you want to have cameras in the shot like that... I'd go with some vintage cameras... classics in place of the Canons. That would tie in well with the vintage mic at center.

I think it's important that a logo be able to be easily reproduced in small sizes. I don't think this would work very well.

I fully agree with this... and I think the very best logos also look good in black and white. If you convert this to gray scale and shrink it down very much you'll lose a lot.

wow. rough guys. i love my logo. i'm a low budget music video company specializing in live event filming and i think this logo is perfect.

i agree with making the name pop more by changing the colour but that's about it..... sorry guys. not that i dont value your opinions or want you to be honest but i didnt expect such a negative response, and to wake up to like 14 negative replies is a little harsh.

hey you'd be upset too if you thought your logo was perfect and then had it ripped to shreds!!!!!

i'm trying to figure out how to delete this thread....
