PK's Karaoke World Record Attempt (40+ hrs of singing badly)

Miniman...hopefully you wont be featuring us, erm I mean PK, on your website there.

Though it will be epic, for sure.

If PK doesnt answer my question soon about whether he is doing a blooper/BTS clip from that shoot, I am going to have to start a petition and have all five of you sign it!

Will try to find time to make a BTS/Blooper reel soon. :)

Looks like we'll be using the same webcast host (ustream.tv) that DVXuser recently used for their DVXfest webcast. So people will be able to watch the entire 40 hours of karaoke LIVE on the Interweb. There will also be chat so people can comment on my horrible singing.

Don't forget to make your song requests. Only two more weeks left!

I can't believe there's no "Don't Stop Believing." How am I supposed to hold on to that fee-lay-ee-ay-ay-ing?

Thanks a lot, Jason!

Your talent for writing managed to do the impossible. You made a karaoke event sound interesting. lol

C'MON DVXUSERS!!

Only 86 requests for PK?!!?? get off your arses and do a good deed for a friend, and more importantly (if you just can't stand PK), a great cause!!

Thanks guys. :) Nice song choices. I'll start practicing right away! lol

Thais love karaoke!!! They have it in all their homes, offices, and even on buses. So we've been going around to different schools and asking students and teachers to help support the event. Today was kind of exciting because we were interviewed by two different national news stations. (Hope they have subtitles for my bad Thai.)

Doing something that symbolizes Isara's host country, and introducing some Thai music to foreigners, are some of the main reasons we're doing this event.

Thanks to everyone who has requested songs. I'll post a playlist next week. Then you can estimate when your song will be sung so you can tune in.

Update: Less than a day-and-a-half to go!!

Yesterday a local shop loaned us an amp, mixer, and speakers so that we can rock the whole neighborhood.

Also, Ustream.tv is promoting the live webcast of the event on their homepage and blog. They called us yesterday to help with some technical issues and to wish us luck. If you haven't checked out their site please do. Maybe you can setup your own filmmaking talk show.

If you haven't posted your song requests please do so asap. I'll be finalizing the playlist today.

Thanks DVXusers!!!

Hey PK, got a tip for you: Drink distilled water only, starting several hours before the event. Your vocal cords will thank you.

Have fun, man!

Paul

Thanks a lot!!! :)

I look forward to singing everyone's requests. Well, except that "Strokin" song. I'll have to make sure my Mom isn't listening when that ones on. lol

Pk was interviewed on the news here a couple days ago, too. I was there getting footage and need to post some shots of him sitting there between those two women. LOL!!!!!

Despite protests, JConnors account has been activated. lol :) Look forward to seeing your song requests.

If you're interested in seeing the train wreck performances just goto http://www.isara.org . The live webcast will be embedded on the homepage. There will also be a chat feature so you all can say Hi and I'll give you a shoutout.

Well it's time to get a little rest before the marathon no-sleep-athon. Thanks for all the support!
