Time travel?

So everybody but me has probably heard of this guy "John Titor" who claimed to be from the year 2036 but I discovered the story just recently. This is episode 1 of twelve. Interesting event. Like most weird stuff I come across I find it valuable to listen and think and not judge one way or the other till the big girl comes forth with song. Of course, some people will believe that canned Spam is actually a squat little vegetarian animal from the dark corners of Borneo that is caught daily by the thousands then cut to shape to fit the can! Anyway I thought this was both entertaining and thought provoking and definately Different:)

I've never heard of this "John Titor" guy...


I believe there are only 20 cans of Spam in the entire world. They keep vanishing and reappearing in different locations... You think I'm making this **** up?
 
If you cut a can of spam into pieces, put the pieces in a frying pan - not touching each other - and leave them there, it will all come back together while it cooks.
 
We should try and make a video of that. Do some VFX to make it look like spam is doing all sorts of weird stuff like that. Put it on youtube.
 
The great thing is, though, you don't need VFX. It REALLY happens!

Oh, John Titor. Yeah, I just read about him about a month ago for the first time. Pretty crazy. I think it was legit...:)
 
I've studied up on this guy and some of the sh*t he's said and DONE is scary. There was a really good feature on him on CNN where he talks about an impending nuclear crisis with Iran and smart phones being used to track people and causing dysembryoplastic neuroepithelial tumors: CNN:strangepredictions. Some of what I saw was pretty spooky and strangely it kinda pissed me off the first time is saw this!
 
Fascinating stuff! I may not believe it but it could make for a very interesting DVX Fest entry. Great for Twilight Fest really. Would have been prefect for Time Fest.

Wow, I feel like I traveled back to a time when anyone cared about John Titor! :)

I had thought about doing a John Titor for my Timefest. I remember when this guy was around. While he's obviously NOT from the future, I dig how - as far as I know - he never revealed the gag. He never came out.
 
So the guy travels back in time and the first thing he does is get on the Art Bell conspiracy forum and start posting? Ha! If he's from the future then he should know that DVXuser is the coolest place to post!

So they have the technology to build a time machine in the future but a part they need to fix a computer is from an old IBM? I guess that means eBay didn't survive the World War.

Seriously, any kid with a Hotmail account can post in a forum. I can't believe anyone is even considering this guy as being legit. Are people really that easy to fool? Sad.

Just look at the entire planet. Logic means nothing to 99% of the populous. The entire history of humanity has lumbered along through emotion... while the remaining 1% negotiate through disease and into new technology. :)


It's just like Bigfoot... the guy comes out and says he faked it and shows how and backs it all up... STILL people argue that nope, Bigfoot is real. :beer:

I fell asleep last night listening to the Art Bell interview... and it definitely held my interest... it's a fun idea, but there are a lot of logic issues that contradict the scenarios they describe. I'm a firm believer in the old saying, that all things being equal... the simplest explanation is usually correct.

The simplest explanation is that this guy had a couple small nuggets of information, that he was fairly intelligent, and that he did all of this to entertain himself (and probably a couple friends) for a while.
