LEX+HVX: case of the off-center image...

Has anyone figured out how to correct this offset image through the Letus Extreme and the HVX200? I know I've read lots of threads with people talking about it, but is there an actionable solution, or do we have to live with zooming in on the GG so far?

If anyone knows any threads regarding the solution, please let me know, as a search didn't bring up that much.

Thanks

If you flip the LEx over and the offset changes, it is caused by the LEx. If the offset does not change, it is caused by the camera.

As for solutions, with the old achromatte, I was able to hold it off center with one hand and tighten the allen screws with the other. This minimized the offset (but could potential cause some one side of the GG to be less in focus than the other).

Once I got the new achromatte, the 'solution' did not work anymore. However, the E2E sharpness has increased.

By this do you mean that if the off-centered image shifts from one side to the other then it's the LEX?

I find on mine it's less off-center when the LEX is snorkel up. Unfortunately I don't have a rod support system that will work with it in that position.

It's both the HVX and LEX. With mine, in "snorkel up", the offset is minimal, about 7-10 percent. Snorkel down it's a good 15 percent off. There is a Letus solution but it'll cost you 4500.00 or you can go the Brevis route if it really bugs you. I live with it for now. Issues like having to dismantle the entire housing right down to the prism to get at a piece of dust test my tolerance thresh hold. SG Blade "save us".
