canon lens reccomendattions 4 hvx/letus

I have an hvx and am getting a Letus extreme.

i'm also getting a canon rebel xti.

i want to get a
macro
wide
standard
tele

what do you guys suggest model wise for lenses that would work for both cams/setups?

i want to try and have no vignetting if possible. also how bad would it be to have zoom lenses? i know you get less focus but how bad is it?
 
EOS system is the most painful of em all. Can't change aperture on the lens itself, must use the (d)SLR body to dial in aperture. I have two 85mm 1.2 L modest teles therefore, one FD for my letus and one EOS for 5D albeit the EOS system accepts Zeiss ZF nikon manual lenses.
As for zooms the 17-35 nikkor 2.8 is one of the best UWA-WA modern Zoom lenses out there and you get this from user that has a $10k+ worth of Canon lenses.
Don't get a Canon EOS system if you want to interchange lenses with your adapter and want to change aperture easily.
But then again you could use only full frame nikkor/nikon lenses as only those have the aperture ring.

okay, that answers some things, the dslr to dial aperture sounds awful

so let's say i go all nikon, would i have to go for manual or manual/af lenses?

anyone have experience with the dx lenses? would that be a smooth move?

also, how bad are zooms vs primes? i haven't shot stills for awhile due to $(switching from 35 to digi), but i never had a prime and was very happy with zooms, but that was on a dslr, not on my hvx.

The sad truth is that the adapters are much lower in quality that are your lenses, it took four years for manufacturers and users to admit it but fortunately we are there with with Ultimate and hopefully with the SGblade too.
How come that the SLR zoom lenses are good enough for 10 to 14MP pictures and not for your HVX, it's not because of the lens you know...

oh, everyone has told me zooms aren't good for shooting hd video, but i was kinda thinking the same thing, what is an hvx anyways? 1.7 mega pixels?
