DV Start/Stop Detect not working on HD Footage

Hey guys,
I've logged and captured about 20 DVCpro HD tapes from a DVCpro HD deck into Final Cut. But now when I try the DV Start/Stop Detect feature, I get the message

"The clip you have selected does not reference a movie that can be analyzed."

My sequence settings are DVCPRO HD - 720p24 (which are the settings the footage was recorded in).

Any suggestions? I have a lot of footage and I was counting on the start/stop detect to help me break it up.

I think DV start/stop detect only works with DV material, not DVCPRO HD. Pretty sure it has to do with the way DV records a form of 'meta data' everytime the cam starts and stops.

Hopefully for the sake of your sanity, I am wrong.

Anyone else know if this is true? I'm looking at a few all-nighters if it is.
