I just got a new computer, it will arrive tuesday, and i was wondering if anyone has tried it with a computer this new?

Its a

CORE DUO QUad 2.87 GGHTZ
4 GIG RAM
1066 MHTZ Front Side bus
Nvidia 9500GS
Raid 0 TB drive

Ton of other awesome stuff.

I will be so POOPOOing pissed off if Vegas wont run on it.....

I'm running a

2.4 Quad Core
4 Gig Ram
Nvidia 8800GT
and various HDDS

Vegas 8 Pro on Vista32, not even a week old.

It runs and runs a lot better then my old P4 could ever dream. I don't want to go 64bit until Sony supports it later this year. Vista is very bloated even when optimized but it looks oh so pretty. I almost want to try my good ol' XP Pro to see if it is any faster, but as of right now I cannot complain.

Late for the response.

From what I have heard it is pretty buggy on 64bit Windows, but I'm sure there are people who are making it work. From what I have heard I wouldn't want to do paid work on it right now.

I'm running on Vista Ultimate 64 (since yesterday) and it has the same bugs it had in XP Pro. bit it is pretty stable otherwise. My bugs come from Cineform AVI's (editing an HDV feature for a customer)

sweet, so the initial disc install is probably a safe bet..... thanks guys. I'm not doing anything crazy here..... just bsic editing with raylight....

I have the 17" HP Vista 64bits, 4GB Ram, 320 Hard drive with Vegas Pro 8a but received and email from DVFilm that Raylight won't work on a 64bit so I went and got the Sony 32bit 3GB Ram, 250 Hard Drive last night. Now I have to do is download Raylight to get my Vegas to work.
