oh ok, nevermind then.. i would like to live downtown too but it's just so damn expensive.... i'm hoping my music video production company really takes off so i can afford to move...

I lucked out and found a place in the west end for 650.00, I've been there for over 3 years and the rent has never increased, great landlords, not the biggest place but perfect for me, quiet and it's nice and cool in the summer time.
I actually play bass in a band we had someone shoot us live at Malones dowtown about 2 years ago. I never did get to see the dvd of it, but I remember the night cos I played ****ing awful for like the first set.

wow, 650 eh? i'm guessing it's really tiny but for the location it's worth it, i'm sure.. u really are lucky! do a search on craigslist in the apts/housing category using keyword 'downtown' and max rent '$900' and you get NO RESULTS... lordy...

The apartment is technically a bachelor but it's more of a one bedroom, cos there is a small room off to the side, it's not big but it's not all that small either, but yeah, great price really lucked out. It's nice being able to get up on the weekends, go do all the **** I need to get done and hardly have to walk more than two blocks to do it all.
Our band is called The Skeddadlers, we started off with 4 members playing kind of an alt country/rock sound and then eventually the music kinda just developed into rock, were putting the final touches on our album right now, but we've kinda been on a hiatus playing as our lead singer/songwriter moved to Japan for bit, but were still jamming. 4 of us are from PEI and the other guy is from Powell river. We got some stuff on Myspace but it was recorded like 3 years ago and the sound kinda sucks and it really doesn't do justice to how we sound now, really excited to hear what finalized album sounds like, I've been hearing bits and pieces of it for like the past 6 months, we actually started the recording process this time last year (were getting a sweet deal through one our friends as he owns a recording studio, so we got to work on his schedule and we get in when we can), I've been done of my tracks since last July. Should be done hopefully this month.

So, all you guys in Vancouver I have a question for you...
Where is a good pub/restraunt/bar to get cheap chicken wings!? like, 15 cent wings, deals like that?
Or does that just not happen here? I moved here beginning of the summer and have not found anywhere that does something like that yet...
Oh and also, I would be interested in helping out on your guy's shoots, just shoot me a message!

my pub of choice is the Elephant Walk Pub on 41st and Knight! except, i forget how much the wings were there.. a good deal tho i'm pretty sure.. i dunno, i dont get chicken wings often cuz they're messy.. ha ha...
