Which set of primes?

So I'm putting together a rental list for my next project, and I'm trying to decide on which set of primes to get.

I can choose from

zeiss standard speeds
zeiss super speeds
cooke S4's
Zeiss Masters

It looks like we'll be shooting with a red, or possibly on vision3, so I don't think speed is as big an issue as optic quality and price.

thoughts?

cook s4's.

a touch slow if i remeber correctly, but Vision2 500T will more than make up for it.... They are STUPID sharp.

Rate the red for 320 no matter what... you will be glad you did. My vote is for the Cooke S4s too, unless you need more speed.
You already have the zooms picked out?

if you do go with a zoom, get the Angenieux Optimo 24-290.... a stiff 2.8 ALLL the way though, SEXY as helll..... BIG BIG BIG. like 80 pounds by itslef....

Stupid sharp. its more like a variable prime.

price in mind, you guys think 18mm is as wide as I'd need to go? I could get 14 and 12, but it's a mostly interior, fairly conventional story, so I'm not sure about it.

depends on what youre shooting, if youre into WIDE wide wide angles, then get the 12mm/14mm.

I'd say you should ask your DP. But i;d want the 14mm, 20mm, 24mm, 30mm,35mm, 45mm, 55mm, 65mm, 85mm, 100mm, 200(if available.).

lol, well, I AM the dp, which is why I'm askin.

Budget's tight, and that's a lot of glass, so I think I'll narrow it to a 12, 18, 35, 50, 75
