How good is the sound captured directly into the HVX?

I have the Sennheiser ME66 and I find the use with HVX200 just as good as when I use it with say a Marantz.
 
the mic and mic placement make the biggest difference. I record everything to hvx200 or hpx500 through my SD302 and it is great. I don't see a need for separate recording at least not for what I do. Other gear is much more important.
 
Yeah, the only time I use a separate audio unit is when I am using a dolly because sometimes you can hear the wheels a little bit.
Oh and because it is less hassle for the dolly operators to worry about with cables being in the way etc.
