I need some help with RedRock M2 accessories

So I just bought a basic M2 kit from some one here locally in Los Angeles. It seems a need a few accessories to get everything to work with with my DVX. The lens on my camera doesn't fit right up against the M2. It came with a 55mm adapter, what do I need to buy to get it to connect with my DVX. I also saw something about a spacer, do I need that as well?

I tried hooking the camera up to the rods using the tripod plate from my bogen tripod, but the baseplate is too thin, it doesn't fit in right. Is there a particular spec of plate that I need to get to attach to my DVX so I can attach it to the plate of the M2?

So yeah, I'm thinking I Might need 3 parts...what might those be? Thanks a lot guys, in advance.

I may be wrong, but I think you need to get a 72mm Step-up/Down ring to fit the DVX threads. The baseplate should be your original bogen support baseplate? You should be able to replace them if it doesn't fit. Might not be understanding that one right.

Instead of a spacer I would recommend getting the Flip Unit if you don't have one already. It takes care of the space needed, gives you a sharper edge-to-edge image and, of course, flips the image for you. =P

Hope at least one of those helped.

Thanks, I also emailed redrock, so hopefully they will get back to me. The flip unit is like $350, so I think I'll just go with the spacer for now. My original bogen baseplate is too skinny to fit on the M2 plate...it's like I need a wider plate to attach to my DVX.

Oh, okay I see what y ou're doing. did the M2 not come with a baseplate that attaches to the M2 and Camera separately? It should've come with that plate but if you bought it from a local guy then they may have forgotten it or kept it.

Generally, the rod setup (correct me if I'm wrong) comes with an additional quick release plate.

Well it came with the big plate that both the rods go into, but not a smaller plate that goes onto that plate.
