Hey you guys new to this. I have been editing on FCPHD 6.0. And I have been using my sony FX1. I now have the HVX 200A. Just starting to shoot with it. Have not tryed to edit anything with it yet. Wanted to know if there was some things that im going to have to do diferentley. When shooting 1080I 24PA and 720 24pn. Which should I do I want the best qualitey so 1080 would be that but is the set up in the final cut the same. Thanks for any help. RB

Heck yes- lots of stuff you'll do completely differently. Well you could skim through this forum and glean a lot of information separately. Start with the forum FAQs at the top of this forum.

Or you could spend a few more bucks and get heavy duty training. I'd go with Barry Green's HVX Boot Camp for the camera operations and then my Final Cut Pro Workflow DVD. That will save you a lot of aggravation and time and you'll see everything you need to know demonstrated in a few hours.

There's also some light reading from Apple on the subject:

Hey Noah I just checked out the apple link you sent me. Im going to check out your dvd also. But a quick question thought. After reeding the apple thing. Maybe i was reeding it wrong. But did it say that the final cut could not take 1080I 24pa footage. And also did it say it cant take 720p /24pn. I have a shoot tomarrow and Im not going to get the DVD's in time to figure all this out.
