Best cheapest tripod for panning

[Blade Borge]

I'm creating the bare minimum kit for shooting weddings, corporate, event stuff until I can build up and get better equipment. What would you is the best cheapest tripod for decent panning?

What camera? For a straight pan, Libec LS22 might be the way to go with something like a HVX/DVX/Ex/A1 etc

Find a swivel chair in the venue your working in would be the Cheapest option.
or get yourself a used wheelchair. "Bare Minimum kit" you can't get much more minimum.

Gotta go with Tom!

The problem with a cheap tripod is it can twist at the legs if the head sticks, which means you need a better head, which means you are going to spend money one way or the other. You are better off finding something rated for the cam you are using and bite the bullet. Or borrow.

There isn't any panning when I see that avatar Noel.
