Movies you are embarrased to admit made you cry.

While it may not turn on the waterworks, I find the ending of Schindler's List quite emotional.

Lion King [mufasa's death]
Click [replaying sandler's father's last words]
Pursuit of Happiness [when will got the job]

=)

I also echo the Pursuit of Happiness.

As for TV, the end of Quantum Leap was great when the cut to Al's wife and Sam.

I am sam.... Tha part where he doesnt understand why his daughter cant go home with him in the court room..... That kills me....

i'm not embarrassed by it, but two of the end scenes of Saving Private Ryan. When Capt. Miller says "Earn this" and when the older Ryan salutes Capt. Miller's grave.

Also the end of Band of Brothers when one of the soldiers said "My grandson asked me if I was a hero. I told him no, but I served in a company of heroes."

those two endings no matter how many times i see them always get me teary eyed

Tommy Boy when he's sitting in the boat after his dad's funeral. When Clarence finally gets his wings in It's a Wonderful Life. You'd think I'd get through that one after seeing it a dozen times. No, not the case.

Man after I had a kid every movie makes me cry. Just watched E.T. on Nick..when Elliotts mom falls to her knees when he hugs e.t. ....I cried. When Chev Chelios couldn't get epinephrine in Crank....I cried. When Eddie Murphy explaine that when he was little and he wanted bubbles he had to fart in the bath tub...I cried.

While I don't get all weepy, it is hard to watch My Life with Michael Keaton.

Same here.

Elephant Man got me for some reason a couple years ago when I first watched it.

Most I've ever cried from a work of fiction was in the book The Road by Cormac McCarthy. Not even that sad in hindsight.

Anyway, not embarrassed of any of those.

My weakness is the music, A good story thats heart felt and has great music gets me. I love good music and when its entwined just at the right moment at the hight of emotions from good acting, well it will get me every time. My two boys just laugh at me. Take the music away and no problem it doesn't bother me at all, good music and I'm gonna get teased by my sons.

I like The Last Samuri - Cruz, probably his best performance for me. But I love Ken Watanabe.

Close encounters of the Third Kind

Elephant Man

any movie with good acting and great music.

The only book that ever made me shed a tear was War and Peace.

Forrest Gump has a few scenes... the one that always kills me is when Forrest accidentally gets called up to speak in front of thousands at the National Mall in DC. He starts speaking and then you hear Jenny yell out to him and they go run and meet in the water.

Of course the son revelation and Jenny grave scenes kill me too.

Anyone get a little misty eyed at the end of You've Got Mail, when Meg Ryan sees that it's Tom Hanks and they start playing "Somewhere under the Rainbow"?

Other crying gems are The Fountain and Return to Me.
