I've had to take power tools to a couple of adapters before and one of our early brevis units seemed to benefit. I gutted the main housing and used a dremel with a very soft bit to smooth unfinished bits out and then took a super high grit disk to try and roughen up the inside. The battery/motor and everything was hot/super glued in a similar fashion to factory setup. I sold it a few months ago for a newer unit with the micro collimation and flip.
