how is this a news story?

i saw this on yahoo's front page and wanted to know if this is actually news to anyone? i thought it was common knowledge that people are hired people to act out various illnesses for the purpose of training medical students. is it just a slow news day or what?

Yeah, I didn't know about this. Never really thought about it much. It is an interesting story, but front page news? I don't know. Right now the headlines on my favorite news page are things like:

Miracle Baby
Manhunt For Killer
Second Coming of iPhone

my wife actually did this several years ago. according to her, there are people that also have things like pelvic exams and colonoscopies done on them. the medical school she was working with it was the same people each year for those type of procedures. haha. you couldn't pay me enough!
