Batch clip flip possible in FCP 6 to avoid rendering and re-rendering?

I'm using a 35mm lens adapter which flips the image. Final Cut Pro studio 6 does not yet seem to have a flip option in the log and transfer window. I flip the clips individually using the 'motion' tab in the viewer. Unfortunately this means that every clip I add has to be rendered before it can be viewed in the canvas and - most annoyingly - re-rendered every time I move a clip in the canvas. This is tediously slow on my motorola chip based Imac G5 and limits my ability to make many editing changes. Does anyone know if it is possible to batch flip and render the clips permanently as it were so they don't need to be rendered and re-rendered during editing?

I dont think you can do this with final cut in version 6. I hoped they would add it to 6, but it appears they haven't.

And just so you know, the chip in the iMac G5 is a powerpc chip (made by IBM, not motorola).

Maybe it's due to your system limitations but when I rotate my clips 180-degrees in FCP I do not have to render to playback.

Try the FLOP video effects filter just in case (it's in PERSPECTIVE). Apply the effect to one clip, right-click the clip and COPY. Then highlight all the other clips, right click and PASTE ATTRIBUTES. That will save you the time of having to do them all individually.

the flop filter requires less to run in real time than rotating in the motion tab. may not have to render. let us know if it works for you.
