Took this with the Fuji S5 pro. It's raw files have a huge amount of data in them.

Interesting, Ive just started using raw with my Nikon D40x - I just want to know if ISO is flexible after the fact, cos it seems I can choose ISO setting in post kinda like the Red One camera - Is this correct?

I'm glad alveraz said something, I was thinking the same thing. Would you be willing to share the raw file? If its true it has that much latitude I really have to consider other brands than Nikon or Canon.

Sounds unbelievable to me also... but if it's true, that's freakin crazy! The brick wall and the left side of his face sure seem to be TOTALLY blown out...

Yeah, I just don't believe that you were able to recover that much detail from your highlights with those image specs.

I am dead serious, the first picture has been unaltered. The second picture was brought into photoshops raw editor and then brought down 4 stops. The Fuji S5 actually has 2 sensors in it an captures 2 ranges of tones, then combines them into one image afterwards.

I would love to post the raw file, but how do i do it? It is also around 25mb because of all the information it has.

I don't think anyone called him a liar, in fact we're all excited if this is the real deal, I know I am! I'm always screwing up my shots, I'd love to pull out the blown areas of my shots.

Relax.

This is actually pretty amazing. I wonder if this could be done with a D40. I have to give this a try when I have some time.

Usually -2 is about right, but with that said, if the total latitude for a particular point in the file is only 255 then there is no recovery.
