I need a short bit of fuse

Hi, and yes, I know I can buy the stuff online at several places. I just need a short length about 10 inches and don't want to buy a quantity... and risk being on the terrorist list. Who might have something that sparkles and sputters fairly slow?
 
Would you be using it for purposes of detonation, or just as a prop fuse to show it nearing a dummy explosive?

If you take a trip to your local hobby shop, you can pick up some model rocket fuse (For model rockets, fuses beat electronic igniters any day in my book). Last time I launched a rocket off, I seem to remember the fuse following the inch a second rule, meaning it will burn an inch of fuse every second. Need something with more sparks? Why not try a sparkler. Both will work well if you just need the fuse as a prop, but if you plan on using it for actual detonations, be smart and use a real fuse. There are other options if you simply need the fuse as a prop, just be creative.

Purely as a visual. I know they have several different types, with different speeds and characteristics. I just don't know which is what, and like I said, just need a short bit that burns slow and sputters with sparks. You know, the old Hollywood dynamite thing. I don't really need the practical explosion.
